desktop version Tinder

The desktop version of Tinder wants to change the way people perceive other people.

The dating app that we all got used to, Tinder, is now coming to the desktop. Until now, Tinder has lived in our smartphones. We got “attached” to the app that offered an interesting interface. The simple swipe right has brought many dates and relationships.

This app is now getting a desktop version. Yes, you can now access Tinder from your computer too. The name of the app is not going to differ a lot. Tinder Online is the desktop version of this dating app. It isn’t available yet in the US. The company mentioned that they are testing it in other countries.

Argentina, Indonesia, Colombia, and Brazil are the countries in which this desktop version of Tinder is being tested. The company started with these countries because there are weak cellular connections. This way, people in these places can now enjoy the app in the desktop version.

Despite the fact that Tinder Online is not going to differ from the mobile application, it is going to bring something new. The interaction between people is the one that is going to change. The swipe is no longer available for this version. A message panel is going to cover most of the desktop screen. This is an attempt from the company to make people communicate more instead of just swiping.

The desktop version wants to change the way people perceive other people. Tinder mentioned that they want to make people let go of their judgments and just talk to each other in order to know more about one another. It’s an interesting change for an app that has been making people date each other based on their appearance.

Due to the fact that the messaging panel is going to cover most of the desktop, people will be more willing to send messages to one another. This way, there is more communication and people will get to know each other better.

Despite the fact that many people have found love on this app, Tinder hasn’t done a lot to encourage long-term relationships. Maybe, Tinder Online, the desktop version is going to take action and make people consider serious relationships. We’ll have to wait and see.

What is your opinion about Tinder Online? Are you going to try it once it becomes available?
