Far Cry Primal will be launched on February 23, and the trailer of the awaited game is here. In the trailer you can see Takkar, which is the main character and other characters that are going to be present in the game are also introduced.
Unlike the previous games in the Far Cry franchise, this one takes place in the Stone Age, 10,000 BC, and so no technologies or modern conveniences will be present. The protagonist named Takkar has to travel and fight in the beautiful Oros land, in order to be reunited with the members of the Wenja tribe, that were scattered. The Wenja tribe was dispersed after two rival clans attacked them. Takkar was the only one in his hunting group that survived the attack. The rival tribes are the Udam tribe and the Izila tribe. The Udam tribe is cannibalistic and is led by Ull, who is a warrior. The Izila tribe worships the fire and is led by Batari, who is a high priestess. Takkar will need to go back to the Wenja tribe and help them defeat the two rival tribes. In order to do this, Takkar will build weapons and will tame beasts. The weapons include bows, arrows, clubs and flint axes and some of the fearsome beasts include the saber toothed tigers and the woolly mammoths.
When they created the game, the developers from Ubisoft went an extra mile and made sure that the language is also pretty accurate. They tried to make the scenery, the humans and the animals as accurate as they were back then and for the language, they even hired linguistic professors from the Kentucky University. The characters in the Far Cry Primal game will speak a very similar language to the Proto-Indo-European one spoken back then.
According to Ubisoft, Takkar will find and free members of his tribe and some of them will give him new weapons, tools and skills. If you are passionate about the Far Cry games or video games in general, you should definitely buy the collector’s edition, called Legend of the Mammoth. This will allow you to take on the character of a mammoth. You will fight other beasts, hunters and will be able to save members of your herd.
One downside of the game is that multiplayer and co-op are not available. But don’t worry, as the creators of the game promise that this is going to be the best game in the series. Far Cry Primal will be launched on February 23 but only for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The PC version will be launched on March 1.
