According to a detailed new research which the journal Frontiers in Psychology recently published, the human races might have reached its peak form. Now, the next thing will probably be a decline. It’s interesting that scientists say that the process of human development is not something that goes on forever, as opposed to what we might be thinking. Right now, we are nearing our limits when it comes to performance in many areas. And after such a peak, a downfall is imminent, and the team thinks that downfall might begin now.
In order to reach those results, the team analyzed about 120 years of data. They found that the human race appears to have reached its limits. These limits include how strong and tall we are, the age we die and other similar facts. The problem is that right now, humans seem to be pushing those limits, which is not a good thing.
We have peaked. Now, we must decline
The researchers also explained that even the environment we live in and which we have altered to fit our needs might push us into a decline. Global warming is one of those things that will push down our limits. And if you look at sporting competitions from years back, you will most certainly see this evolution with your own eyes.
Sprinting speeds which a while ago were deemed impossible have been reached. People now live longer and the record for the oldest person in the world often changes its owner. However, as time passes, those records will diminish in number. After having reached those peaks, we are now on a plateau. Soon, we will start going downhill.
Even medical and technological improvements are of no help now. You simply cannot push certain natural limits of the human being. What’s even more interesting is that the people living now are the first generation to acknowledge this fact. And this might help us a lot in the future when we might not be as strong as we are today.
