A rat head could have been found in a Popeyes Chicken Meal

A woman found a rat head when she ordered Popeyes Chicken Meal.

Rosemary Thomas claims that her daughter was given a fried rat instead of chicken from Harlem Popeyes. It seems that she wanted Popeyes Chicken Meal, but instead, she found a rat head. The woman posted a photo of the food on her Facebook and also said her complaints.

The woman, her sister, and her daughter served meal at a location situated at 145th St. and Frederick Douglass Blvd. After the child ate some of the Popeyes Chicken Meal, she began to feel sick and started vomiting. Rosemary Thomas is really angry because the Department of Health gave the restaurant a 5 five rating. Moreover, another problem would be that other people could have also eaten rat.

Popeyes’ officials said that the owner has spoken with Thomas’ family and they will meet to receive the piece of food and talk about what will happen. Even though they think that piece was a chicken organ, they will take it for DNA testing to find the truth. It seems that another inspection was made by the Department of Health and nothing was found, so the restaurant rating is still A.

The department of Health and Mental Hygiene inspected Popeyes on  April 21 when the restaurant received an A grade. However, there were other inspections in the past who found evidence of mice near the place where food is cooked.  People are now waiting to see if what Rosemary Thomas found in her Popeyes Chicken Meal was a chicken or a rat.

The Popeyes’ officials said that it is not common to find unusual items in their food. Moreover, they are sure it was just a chicken organ. However, they promised to talk to the supplier to see what happened. If Rosemary was right, this could mean a lot of problems for the restaurant.

There were situations when customers were not right, but it would not be a surprise if we will find out it was a rat. Unfortunately, there are many restaurants and suppliers that do not pay enough attention to the food given to their customers. We are waiting for a DNA test to see if the customer was true. If so, there could be more people who will claim they felt sick after they eat from Popeyes. What do you think? Was that a rat head?
