skype

Starting June 5th, you can just sign to a website that allows you to check your Skype conversations from your browser. Users will just have to search for the new Skype for Web.

This means that you are no longer required to install the full program on every device you use.

Some features, like video and voice calls, will not be available if you use Chrome or a Chromebook device. This is due to the small plug in which is not compatible to Chromebook’s operating system.

Skype for Web will be fully available on major browsers like Mozilla, Explorer and Firefox.

Skype is owned by Microsoft, which is now trying to implement Skype services into as many personal devices as possible, working on popularity boosting, and utility management.

The New Windows 10 will solve the incompatibility issues between Skype and Chrome by working on WebRTC friendly version.

Many People use Skype to contact office co-workers or friends on a daily basis, and you do not always have the option of installing skype on a friends computer or an internet cafe one just so you can check if anyone said Hi.

It is possible to encounter several issues like bugs and errors at the beginning as with any Beta Version of Software. For now it is known that managing and sorting contact list will not be possible at least at first, from the browser version of Skype.

Some people have problems accepting the programs annoying automatic launch when you turn on your computer. Some forums posting information regarding ways of bypassing this issue and keeping Skype hidden have hundreds of thousands of views.

Skype faces competition from other free programs like goober and VoxOx. In the past many users preferred using Yahoo Messenger for web text messaging, but with the increased availability of video cameras in every web connected device Skype’s free video call quality is by far winning over customers.

Google Hangouts is now catching up to Skype, and not only does it offer the options of free video calls, but you can have as many as 10 people in the same video conference.

Google Voice and Google Talk are also fast developing, and knowing Goggles talent for mashing different apps together, some time on the future a bigger better faster version of Google audio, voice and messaging services is to be expected.
