It seems that NASA has competition after a Chinese company decided to build the biggest spaceplane. It is supposed to carry up to 20 people. According to the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology, there are already two versions of this spaceplane and it will have its own power. While the Chinese are excited about the good news, some people do not think they will manage to launch the plane.
The project was presented at the International Astronautical Congress, in Mexico, last week. Researchers said that they already finished the ground tests and they will test the flights during the next two years. Scientists are expecting their spaceplane to be ready until 2020. If everything will go as planned, the spaceplane will be able to carry passengers for 200 000 dollars to 250 000 dollars for a ride.
American researchers are not sure about the new discovery. They say that even though it is an interesting plan, there have to be more technical details for it to work. According to the Americans, it is easy to draw and talk about the biggest spaceplane, but it is more difficult to make it become real.
However, the Chinese do not seem to take into consideration what other say. They promised the spaceplane will be ready until 2020 and that people will have the chance to travel in the outer space. Even though this is not the first time people want to go as tourists in the Solar System, this spaceplane would be the biggest one that was ever built.
The price for a ticket could seem expensive for normal people, but there will be a lot of wealthy individuals who will want to go on this journey. The biggest problem is making the spaceplane safe for them to travel.
China seems to have big plans when it comes to the outer space. However, they have more to develop until they will reach the United States or Russia. Another problem is that the United States do not allow NASA to be connected with China, so they are on their own. China is the third country in the world that has sent astronauts into space. What do you think? Will the Chinese manage to develop the biggest spacecraft in the world?
