The Bastard Of Winterfell Is Coming Back
The quest to find Jon Snow’s fate continues! Fans from all over the world are desperately trying to find out if the bastard of Winterfell is coming back next season and Maisie Williams seems to be a human target for the same question. Williams has gained a lot of popularity over the years while playing as Arya and the recent creation of her YouTube channel made things even better for her.
Still, Williams admits that she is tired of answering the same question for the 1000th time. During and Absolute Radio breakfast show, she admitted to Christian O’Connel that fans keep asking her about Jon Snow. This might be because of her close relationship with Jon that was depicted at the beginning of season 1 and reconfirmed in season 5, when she hesitated throwing Needle.
Williams declared that “all the time people are asking me if Jon Snow is alive and the answer is no! He’s dead! I promise.” That “I promise” is rather suspicious. Don’t get us wrong, we take Maisie’s word for granted, but she, too, cannot say anything about the show right? “I promise” does not sound as compelling as “I swear by the old gods and the new”.
The actress playing Arya Stark also had her own favorite character, Ygritte, who died at the end of season 4 when the wildlings assaulted the Wall. While her death was unfortunate and left many fans in tears, it was a symbol that allowed Jon to move away from love and back to duty, preparing him for the Night’s command.
Then, after we saw Jon in his rightful place, he was mercilessly stabbed by his brothers in the season finale, the last blow being delivered by Olly, a character specifically created for the show and who many fans like to insult on every possible occasion. We are with you in this one, not to worry.
Nevertheless, Jon Snow is expected to return this season, either as a warg or resurrected by Melisandre via dark magic. Kit Harrington has also been spotted wearing the Stark’s dire wolf somewhere in Northern Ireland. He was talking to the directors close to camera equipment when spotted, so there you have it. Jon Snow is not dead.
And to seal the deal, Harrington confirmed that he is still under contract and that he “will probably be in his thirties” by the time he is done with Game of Thrones. So sorry Maisie, we know you have to keep the secret, but we are pretty sure that Jon Snow is alive and well.
