The Latest Model of Alarm Clocks is Quite A Surprise

"Alarm Clocks"

People keep trying to find solutions for waking up in the morning.

When it comes to inventions, human imagination knows no boundaries, as the latest model of alarm clocks is quite a surprise. Sick of having difficulties with waking up with the normal alarm on her phone, Simone Giertz has come up with an unique method to get out of bed. No, it’s not the alarm clock that obliges you to stand up in order to shut the alarm. It is an alarm that literally slaps your face.

Giertz posted a video explaining the way her alarm clock functions. Apparently all she had to do was put together a prop hand like the ones you can find in Halloween shops, a motor and of course an alarm clock. The device also received a proper name: “The Wake-Up Machine”. The machinery is placed above the bed and as the alarm goes off, it starts slapping the person who sleeps in the face.

But how did Giertz come up with the idea? Simply put, her passion is inventing and she plans to inspire people in order to learn more about electronics. She built the alarm clock in Sweden on a houseboat. However, the girl said that there might be certain discomforts: the slap itself is not painful, but from time to time it happens to rip some hair strands out.

We have tried various options of waking up in the morning, from the most radical as seen above, to lazier ones like the snooze button, which has lost its original utility and is now blamed by people who are late at work. Another controversial type of alarm clock is the SensorWake, which gives you the option of waking up relaxed in about two minutes, by a scent of your choosing. It could be the delicious morning aroma of coffee or tea, freshly cut grass, or something not very pleasing if that’s what does the job. In the end, everyone has their own way of waking up, and we each have to find the one that is best suited. The latest model of alarm clocks is quite a surprise, but surely not the last. However, wouldn’t the world be a better place if we could wake up naturally?
