Christmas is just a day away, and if you still didn’t buy your loved ones gifts, don’t panic. If your teenager kid has been asking you nonstop for a phone or if you can’t stand your mother’s ancient phone any longer, the Nexus 5X is the perfect Christmas gift.
On September 2015, Google announced the launch of its newest phone, Nexus 5X, which is an LG device. Since its launch, the phone became a good opponent to the other budget smartphones.
People have been waiting for an upgraded version of the Nexus 5 phone for a long time and so LG designed for Google the Nexus 5X phone. This phone is designed to satisfy the people who thought that the Nexus 6 was too expensive and for the ones who wanted an upgrade of the older version.
Because the Nexus 5X is made out of polycarbonate, it does not have the best appearance. The phone has on the back panel a fingerprint scanner, called Nexus Imprint, which is a great addition. Thus, the phone doesn’t have a button that wakes the phone and is more easy to use. The device is available in three colors: carbon, quartz and ice.
The LG device has a 5,2 inch screen that makes the phone seem smaller and lighter than other phones . The phone weighs only 136 grams and is 147 mm high and 72,6 mm wide. The low weight of the phone has to do with the fact that it the case is entirely made of plastic, but that doesn’t affect its sturdiness. With the 1080p resolution, the colors on the screen are rich and seem natural.
The Nexus 5X has only a 2 GB memory and it doesn’t come with a SD card slot as the original one did. You can use maximum 32 GB of the internal storage. The camera of the phone has 12 megapixels, but according to Tech Radar, it allows the light to be better captured in the photos. Users who reviewed the phone even went to say that even the photos took in a bad, low light look really good, sometimes as good as the pictures taken with an iPhone 6s.
Currently, Google has two models of Nexus available: a 16 GB version for 379$ and a 429$ model with 32 GB. The Nexus 5X is the perfect Christmas gift , considering the fact that a good phone now costs between 600$ and 1000$.
