A new smartwatch dedicated only to women has been launched by HP and Isaac Mizrahi.
The smartwatch by Isaac Mizrahi is covered in jewels. The smartwatch that was a collaboration between HP and Isaac Mizrahi, who is a fashion designer was launched today, but in a much quieter fashion than usual.
The smartwatch that costs $249 focuses on the feminine clients. The watch is covered in Swarovski crystals and has leather bands that are multicolored. Even though it doesn’t look much like the other smartwatches, you are offered tracking of your activities and the notifications usually given by smartphones. When HP talked about the watch, they said that they wanted to give to the women something that will give them technology without sacrificing the style.
The watch has and OLED display and a traditional face. When you get call, text and calendar notifications, the OLED screen of the watch lights up and the rest of the watch continues to function as a regular watch would. The time indications are Roman numerals and the leather bands that are colored can be changed. The watch is available with either a gold or a silver face, which is circled by Swarovski crystals. Also, the smartwatch is made out of stainless steel.
Fortunately for both iOS and Android smartphone owners, the jeweled watch is compatible on both platforms and they can be paired up with the help of Bluetooth, like all the other smartwatches. Because Isaac Mizrahi collaborated with HP for the design of the watch, the watch has a direct feed to the Twitter account of the fashion designer. So every time he will Tweet, you will be notified. Other useful features of the smartwatch include daily activities tracking and water resistance for up to 30 meters.
This is the first time that HP has created a watch that was directed only to women. HP previously developed other smartwatches, which were universal. These were the Titan Juxt and the Movado Bold Motion, which were much bolder and bigger than the latest smartwatch launched by HP. As women wear watches as much as men and as they need technology just as much, then the Isaac Mizrachi smartwatch should be a hit on the market. The design of the watch that is very elegant and feminine could put it on the best looking smartwatches list.
HP wasn’t the first one to launch a smartwatch dedicated to women only. In 2014, Intel released the MICA smartwatch and Huawei did the same during CES this year. Most women don’t buy smartwatches because they are not very appealing and are hard to style, but as the smartwatch by Isaac Mizrahi is covered in jewels, this might change their minds.
