The Yakuza series, Sega’s wonder-child will get another sibling somewhere in 2017. For those of you who are unaware of the game, Yakuza series is a franchise published and owned by Sega. The series are centered around the adventures of Kazuma Kiryu, a member from the Tojo Clan. This is the Yakuza 6 primer gameplay trailer review.
The new game is set to launch in Japan somewhere in 2017. As to the game reaching other shores we simply cannot speculate given the fact that Yakuza 5 was released in 2013 and it reached North American shores last week. Yes, you heard it right. Yakuza 5, a game released 2 years ago is now available on PS 3 consoles in the United States.
But the game’s designers found it amusing to entice the fans with yet another fun fact about the Yakuza series. So, lo and behold, before you could even pop open your console in order to play the game, the gaming company declared that it will launch yet another Yakuza inspired game.
And, might I add that the game looks stunning. If you somehow overlooked the event, head on over to YouTube and search for the clip about Yakuza’s 6 gameplay.
So, what can we expect from this game? When we turn on the video, we see a clear picture of the ever popular character from the Yakuza series preparing for a harrowing fist-fight with some very shady Japanese characters. In his focused state, we are able to catch a glimpse of the character’s adventures.
The fighting scenes look good and so does the rest of the game, but these are all cutscenes, what about gameplay? Following the video, we can see the character involved in other activities. According to the released clip, the game is more on the line of action-adventure, with some RPG and stealth elements. Also, from the clip, we can deduce that the gameplay will also feature some cool parkour moves, which the character can use in order to bypass certain obstacles found in the environment and to dodge his enemies.
Also, from the start of the game, we do get an eery impression that something big is about to happen. Deserted streets and stores, all of these details would indicate that what we are about to witness is something of great importance. As for the overall gameplay, the character is capable of moving quite easily although there is a scene when his moves are quite awkward.
We eagerly await to see if the new game could rise to the expectation of his siblings.
