Apple announced the release of its new remote app available for Apple TV. The app which is compatible with IOS 9.3.2 or later is here to replace the remote that usually comes with the Apple TV and starting today, everyone who has an iPhone can download it from the App Store.
This new app is considered a handy software option for users that have managed to lose their Apple TV remote that costs not less than 79 dollars to replace.
Regarded as one of its most important features, the full integration of Siri allows users to give voice command instead of using the remote. The voice control can be utilized only by pressing the microphone integrated into the app.
Apple promises that it will now be easier to control your Apple TV with touch gestures and also enter texts, email addresses or passwords.
Describing its new app, the Apple Company declares that the user-friendly appearance and many new exciting features will make it almost impossible for its users to let their iPhones down.
Because the Apple TV remote’s touchpad was considered hard to use, now, thanks to the new app people can write using the screen keyboard.
Moreover, users can control the volume of their TV by touching the volume up and down buttons on their phone. With the help of the iPhone keyboard videos or songs can be paused, rewind, played or fast-forwarded.
One of the things that the app lacks is the possibility of watching the content from your TV on your iPhones. This shouldn’t worry the users, as every app on Apple TV is also available on their phones in app form.
As expected the app has also a feature for the game lovers. Instead of controlling the game with the iPhone’s sensors, gamers can now have onscreen controls that simplify the process. The built–in accelerometer and gyroscope sensors can make the gaming experience more pleasant for the users.
The old version of this app is still available for download as the new one does not have all the features available for iPad or Mac.
