Justin Bieber thought the egging incident of last year was behind him, when he made a plea of no contest to vandalism. However, the homeowners have now filed an assault and battery suit against Bieber over how they were treated in the months that led up to the egging incident.
Jeffrey Schwartz and wife Suzanne claimed in the suit that after hearing the Ferrari of Bieber speed by early in March of 2013, Jeffrey calmly went over to the home of the singer and politely asked if he could refrain from speeding. Jeffrey said that is when the singer retrieved his two bodyguards and they asked him to leave.
However, when he started to walk away, Bieber is alleged to have launched into a tirade that was completely unprovoked threatening to f—ing kill the man.
The bodyguards for Bieber held him back as the singer continued his tirade of threatening language and then maliciously spit into Jeffrey’s face.
Bieber’s security head later went over to the home of Schwartz to apologize that he had been spit on. However, a couple of months later, the couple went through another run-in with team Bieber.
In May of 2013, court documents from the suit claim that Bieber’s entourage yelled threats and obscenities at Mrs. Schwartz and the daughter of the couple while passing them close to the main entrance to the Calabasas community.
Over the weekend of Memorial Day in 2013, Schwartz and his friend allegedly went to Bieber’s home after seeing someone speed in the Ferrari.
Bieber’s bodyguards met the two outside and starting mocking them, calling Jeffrey a little Jew boy.
Then on January 9 of 2014, Schwartz’s home was egged. Security footage confirmed the singer had been the culprit. Bieber pleased to a charge of no contest and paid restitution of $80,000 for damage to the home. This new lawsuit against the Canadian singer is seeking damages of an undisclosed sum.
