The Consumer Electronics Show already is held every year in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is the gathering place for the technology companies from all around the world. At the show, the newest technologies are introduced on the market and trends for the new year concerning technologies are being set. These are the three gadgets you need to look for at CES.
Because people love all the gadgets that are related to fitness, FitBit will launch a device that will come in direct competition with the Apple smartwatch. But CES has something ready in store that is even better. The concept of the ŌURA ring was born during a campaign done by Kickstarter, in August. In only five weeks, approximately 2,400 backed the concept. The ŌURA ring is able to analyze your body and your lifestyle. The information collected by the ring is sent automatically to your smartphone, and includes the levels of each activity and even your sleeping patterns.
The makers of the ŌURA ring promise that the device will guide you towards better performances. The ring analyzes the data it collects and gives you personalized advice. While you sleep, the ring measures the quality of your sleep and how well do you recover from mental and physical tiredness. The ring is extremely comfortable and has an elegant design. It can go for a long time without recharging, and when the battery is empty, the recharging can be done very quickly.
Another device that will be popular at CES this year will be the drone. More than 100 new drones are expected to be launched. But there will be one drone that will stand out from the rest. The Lily drone is waterproof and it follows you around. The camera built in the drone is high definition, with 1080p and is weighs less than three pounds.
This drone doesn’t require a controller and it could be extremely useful, especially when you want to document your adventures. For example, if you are passionate about winter sports like skiing or snowboarding, you can just throw the drone in the air and let it record your great abilities. The only problem is that Lily can’t avoid obstacles yet, like trees or buildings. You can also land it in water, as it has insulated motors. Lily is easy to carry, as it can fit into your backpack and it can handle even strong winds.
You should also give a look to the new R-7 smart glasses, launched by the ODG company. The glasses will provide wireless connection, a built in camera with 1080p and a 3D see through display. The glasses come with a variety of sensors, which include magnetometers, accelerometers and gyroscopes.
