Working out is the best thing you can do for your body. It helps you stay healthy and have a great, fit body. The problem is that too much exercise can affect your sex life. Although it sounds crazy, working out too much affects your sex life.
This study was conducted by researchers from the University of North Carolina. The study was published in the journal Medicine and Science in Sport and Exercise. This research showed that men who work out too much or too intensely can have a lower libido. On the other hand, men who work out lightly or moderately have a higher libido than men who don’t work out.
In order to show that too much exercise can affect the sex life, researchers polled 1,000 men. They were asked about their sex lives and their workouts. After that, they were put into groups according to intensity of exercise, libido levels, and duration of exercise.
The researchers compared the groups and they found out that those who work out moderately or lightly reported having higher libidos compared to those who work out intensely. The authors of the study mentioned that the fact that the information was self-reported can affect the study.
The researchers mentioned that working out does not cause a low libido, it depends on the duration of the workout and the intensity. They mentioned that there is a link between the intensity of workouts and the levels of libido.
A higher level of libido means a better sex life. This shows that working out too intensely can decrease your level of libido and therefore affect your sex life. The researchers mentioned that men who workout too intensely might be too tired to have sex. They can also experience a drop in testosterone levels due to the hard workout.
The scientists said that exercising is great for your sex life but when it is too much it can decrease the levels of libido. They mentioned that people should not stop working out; they should just take it easy and start having moderately workouts.
What is your opinion about this study? Do you think that working out too much can affect your sex life?
